Broiled Lemon Salmon (from Dr. Mercola's Total Health Program)
1 Tbsp tamari soy sauce
1 Garlic clove, minced
1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
1 tsp extra virgin olive oil
2 Tbsp chopped chives
4 6 oz wild, red Alaskan salmon fillets
1 whole lemon, cut into 1/8 inch slices
1. Mix tamari, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, and chives together
2. Place salmon filets in flat pan. Cover with marinade and lemon slices. Marinate, turning occasionally, for 20-30 minutes. Remove lemon slices from fish and place around pan.
3. Broil salmon with rack set 6" under broiler unit for 3-4 minutes. Turn salmon carefully and continue to broil another 3 minutes, or until brown and fish flakes easily.
4. Remove to serving platter. Place lemon slices on top of fish. Pour any remaining marinade over. Serve immediately.
Serves 4. Preparation time: 10 minutes.
